The plant is located 17 kilometers from Mérida and has permanently employed more than 500 employees from the municipalities of Mérida, Hunucmá, Ucú, Puerto Progreso, Tixkokob, Motul and Izamal. This important Grupo Modelo brewery produces Corona Extra, Montejo, Modelo and Victoria, among others. One of the most relevant achievements is that in December 2017, the Yucatán plant was responsible for carrying out a historic export of more than one million Corona bottles to the marathon in London, England. In addition to all these achievements, Grupo Modelo in 2018 received two recognitions for the best practices of Corporate Social Responsibility, awarded by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Cemefi), the Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility in Mexico (AliaRSE) and the Red Business Forum in Latin America. This 2019, Grupo Modelo is proud to present its eighth brewery and the second largest in the world, located in Apan, Hidalgo.
